Halloween counting worksheets for kindergarten
Counting a set of pictures and writing the number is one of the first math skills in kindergarten. It checks one-to-one counting (one number for each picture) and knowing when to stop.
We have two Halloween counting pages. The first has 6 picture boxes with 3 to 10 pumpkins, ghosts, bats, candy or leaves in each, which suits the start of the year. The second has 6 boxes with 8 to 20 in each, for children who count to 10 easily and are ready for teen numbers. Both come with an answer key.
The Kindergarten-1st Grade Halloween pack starts with these same skills (counting pictures to 10 and 20) and then moves on to picture addition and subtraction, so it is a good next step.

This is a single worksheet: one practice page and its answer key, with a short how-to page and a cover page, as a US Letter PDF (A4 works with fit to page). Download it right after checkout and print as many copies as you need for your family or one classroom.
Tips
- Have children cross out each picture as they count it.
- For teen numbers, circle a group of ten first, then count on.
- Start with the 3-10 page even for strong counters, as a confidence warm-up.
