Halloween math worksheets for 2nd grade
Second grade is when two-digit addition and subtraction with regrouping (carrying and borrowing) becomes the main event. It is also a common sticking point, so steady practice in small steps helps a lot.
Our 2nd-3rd Grade Halloween pack starts with two-digit problems without regrouping, then adds regrouping, then three-digit regrouping, before moving to Halloween arrays and early multiplication. A 2nd grader can work the first part of the pack this month and come back to the arrays later. Every page has room for a name, date and score, and the answer key shows every answer.
For a single themed page, the $1 minis below cover 2-digit addition with regrouping, skip counting and telling time.

Tips
- Have children say the place value out loud: 'ten ones make one ten'.
- Line up digits on grid paper if columns drift.
- Check subtraction by adding the answer back to the number taken away.
