Halloween regrouping worksheets for 2nd grade
Carrying in addition is the big 2nd grade skill, and it extends to three-digit numbers by the end of the year. Children need many short practice sessions to make the trade of ten ones for one ten feel natural.
We have two Halloween single pages for this: 20 two-digit addition problems that all need regrouping, and 20 three-digit addition problems that need regrouping. Each has an answer key. The 2nd-3rd Grade Halloween pack covers the full path, starting with problems without regrouping and then adding two- and three-digit regrouping before moving to arrays and multiplication.
Start with the two-digit page; move to three-digit only when the carrying step is automatic.
